Despite the crowds and without reservations, our family of four was seated within 10 minutes at peak dinner time. We were given bread and water immediately and out waitress was very attentive and pleasant. The food came quickly and the chicken was tender and tasty. It was a noisy place, best suited for parties and large groups. It worked for us as we were hungry and on our way back home from a day trip.

Stopped by Vieux Duluth on a Tuesday around 8pm after a long day of driving and the place was still buzzing without feeling packed. Went with the poutine and a plate of their spaghetti Duluth, and the sauce had that deep, slow-cooked flavor you don't get at the chain locations closer to Montreal. Our server kept the coffee coming without us even asking twice, which after years of eating alone on the road is the kind of small thing I actually notice. Parking lot was wide open and well lit too, so getting in and out was painless even at that hour.

The food is always good here, and the portions substantial. The souvkaki and the poulet grilloir are two favourites. Service is fast and attentive. John is a favourite server.

Celebrated our cousin Suzanne's 80th we were 25 she didn't expect it because it was a surprise. 🫢
